SUMMARY:  

Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness is a secluded sanctuary immersed in nature and situated on one of the highest points in San Antonio with breathtaking views of the Texas sky. The spa invokes the spirit of the Hill Country and Texas to inspire traditional spa offerings (massages, facials), signature experiences indigenous to the area, and results-orientated services integrating technology and nature to create a true sense of balanced well-being.

The female Spa Attendant at Loma de Vida is an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests and will exemplify La Cantera Resort and Spa culture while working to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests.

The female Spa Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance of standards and safety of the women’s locker room, women’s solarium including outdoor patio and general guest relaxation areas.  Furthermore, will the female Spa Attendant provide direction or instruction and assistance to guests when needed.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the women’s and common areas based on check lists and guidelines.
  • Keep locker room and common areas supplies and amenities consistently stocked.
  • Inform management when stock is low.
  • Maintain knowledge of spa and hotel features/services, hours of operation, and any promotions.
  • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests; develop professional and personalized relationships with regular guests.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality in all guest matters in accordance with company policy.
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa
  • Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • At least one-year Spa experience preferred
  • At least one year of customer service experience required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must be highly detail oriented
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must be able to stand on feet including walking and stair climbing, throughout the shift
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to bend, squat, push and pull frequently
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to work in warmer than average environment
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
