About Furniture Medic:
Furniture Medic by Valley Service Group is one of the top 3 Furniture Medic Franchises in the country, is growing and looking for a Field Estimator in Phoenix. This role will be primarily responsible for assisting management with estimating and taking lead on jobs. On-sites will be a mixture of residential and commercial atmospheres. The position offers a diversity of work as no two projects are the same. It also offers the opportunity to provide your input into the projects you work on.
Summary of the position:
The Manager, Estimations & Projects position oversees the Estimations Team and Project Management. The Estimations Team is responsible for work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. The Project Management side is responsible for coordinating delivery of various products to certain jobs. This position reports to the VP of Operations and will manage an initial team of 2 estimators.
Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for handling the first part of a project. As a Field Estimator you would have to:
Contact customers to schedule the initial inspection or work with the front office for scheduling.
Conduct inspection and gather all necessary information to write an accurate estimate for the work needed at the property.
Maintain great communication with the customer and all parties involved throughout the process to ensure the job gets signed.
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources to generate leads.
Qualifications/Skills:
Prior experience in the Restoration/Construction Industry.
Valid driver's license required.
High attention to detail.
Understand and execute work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Provides reports and feedback to management as needed.
Ability to operate efficiently with minimum supervision.
Ability to efficiently communicate with all parties involved, this might include; homeowners, insurance adjusters, vendors, etc.
Ability to provide company management with timely and accurate information related to the status of projects.
Must have good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to participate in all training as needed or required.
