QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- Ag Finance College Degree preferred or 3-5+ years Risk Management experience and having knowledge of the cattle feeding industry big plus
- 3+ years supervisory or management experience of others
- A good understanding cattle and commodity accounting system
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- MS Office experience and proficiency with Excel and Access
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
- Assist with Closeouts and customer communications
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Risk Manager for this progressive Kansas Feedyard operation. Will be responsible for determining the types of risks that could affect company's financial health, legal compliance or reputation. Their duties include communicating with company leadership personnel, Department Managers or legal staff, reviewing operational procedures, employee data or market trends and presenting their findings to management. Understanding markets, include being conscientious of costs when buying cattle and feed, and watching the markets closely when it is time to sell. Risk management of cattle, grain, carcass data, close out, etc. Very much a family friendly company with long-term employees.
