Perdue Farms is recruiting for a Feed Mill Supervisor at our location in Elkin, NC. This role will directly supervise and lead the facility and associates in activities to meet daily production needs in a safe and efficient manner. The Feed Mill Supervisor will also maintains high quality standards through leadership while staying within company guidelines and adhering to all local, state and federal laws.
- Responsible for the supervision, personnel administration and safety of all Feed Mill associates, except for Drivers.
- Responsible for analyzing and meeting the production needs of the Feed Mill.
- Must be willing to learn all jobs in the mill.
- Responsible for setting and maintaining high quality standards as set forth by Perdue Feed Mill Best Management Practices.
- Responsible for maintaining positive production numbers per established Feed Mill goals.
- Must be able to communicate with management and associates.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 0 - 3 years related experience.
- Reading, writing and analytical skills required.
- Supervisory and mechanical experience preferred.
Exposed to outside weather conditions and a significant amount of air borne dust and other residual chemicals. Ability to move through facility. Must be able to stoop, bend and climb; able to lift 100 lbs. Must wear company required personal protective equipment.
