Fedex Ground Delivery Driver

Defex Inc., a FedEx contractor, is now hiring Full and some possible part time/weekend Delivery Drivers in Beltsville, MD

Drivers will be operating out of the terminal located in Bowie, Md

Drivers will be making deliveries to local residences and businesses in and throughout the DC area.

Our drivers will be operating Freightliner box trucks which are provided by the employer.

CDL License is NOT required!!!

Work Hours: 8:30-4:00 or until deliveries are completed. We are a 7 day operation but only require 5 days a week.

Schedules may vary as we need people willing to work weekend days.

Pay is by the day: $1.60 per stop, which is an average of $800-$1000 per week depending on number of stops completed. Peak is November 1st-January 1st, pay can be as much as $1700 per week, especially from Thanksgiving to Christmas due to higher package volume. Average number of stops is 80-150 per day, up to 300 stops during peak. Opportunity for Christmas bonus.

Paid Training: $130 per day, training is 1-2 weeks depending on experience

Bonus during Peak if you work 6 days.

Must have CLEAN background and motor vehicle record! We go back 10 years. NO violent misdemeanors and or felonies.

MUST BE 21 Or Older!

1 Year of verifiable driving experience for a job in the past 3 years!

Must be able to pass a Drug screen and DOT physical in which is paid by the employer.

Physically able to Lift packages up to 50 lbs. and packages up to 150lbs. with assistance of a dolly!

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

Arrive at the FedEx Terminal to pick up vehicle, and packages.

Loading and unloading packages from vehicle

Delivering packages to the proper destination

Scanning and logging packages.
