Fedex Delivery Driver

The Last Mile Group is currently searching for a motivated FedEx Delivery Driver to join their team in Dayton, Ohio! Minimal experience is required, and we are offering two different first-shift schedules, including weekend opportunities!

•     Pay: $700 – $900 flat weekly rate, offer dependent on experience

Current Available Shifts:

•        Full-time
•        1st shift
•        Tuesday – Saturday
•        Monday – Friday

The right candidate will have:

•    Valid driver's license required
•    One year of commercial driving experience preferred
•    Must successfully complete FedEx Driver Qualification program upon hire
•    High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred
•    Ability to move carts of products that can range from 70 pounds up to 150 pounds
•    Ability to frequently ascend and descend a one-foot-wide ladder to get into the truck and box and pull themselves into the  back of the truck with the use of a handle
•   Ability to use a power lift gate to lower carts from the truck onto the ground
•    Ability to manually unfold and retract the steel plates to operate the lift gate

FedEx Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

• ·       Ensure the efficient and timely delivery of FedEx Ground packages, while complying with all operational, security and safety policies
• ·       Completes timely delivery of packages each day
• ·       Verifies and completes required documentation and reports
• ·       Complies with hazardous material regulations and procedures
• ·       Collects cash or checks for freight charges, as required, and maintains required documentation
• ·       Follows dispatch instructions and communicates with dispatch as required, including but not limited to delays, arrivals, and equipment problems
• ·       Communicates with customers to determine pick-up or delivery needs
• ·       Demonstrates internal and external customer service
• ·       Complies with all applicable laws and regulations, safety standards, as well as Company policies and procedures
• ·       Performs pre and post trip inspections each day per DOT regulations
• ·       Keeps accurate records of hours worked per day via Mobile Timeclock
• ·       Demonstrates ability to follow route manifest and create efficient routing directions
• ·       Performs all other duties as assigned
