This position is through an independent contractor of FedEx Ground. Drivers are responsible for delivery and pickups of packages. We are looking for responsible and Safe Drivers who can provide excellent customer service and follow delivery procedures in a safe and efficient manner, with safety being our number one priority. Driver must be responsible, have an excellent time management skill, be self-motivated, reliable, energetic and must have excellent navigation skills and be extremely proficient with use of Google Maps.

*Monday thru Friday work week, and Saturdays are required/mandatory during peak season (holidays) during November and December*.

Work hours vary on the efficiency of the driver.

Full time position based out of FedEx Ground terminal at Houston TX 77075. Drivers are expected to report to the FedEx Terminal at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

All candidates will undergo background and driving record checks for approval by FedEx

TEAM DRIVERS ENJOY:

ABOUT THE JOB:

· Considered a Full Time Employment

· Lift, lower and carry packages up to 150lbs - average packages are small

· Between 6 and 8 hours a day of work.

· Training is provided by Managers and Supervisors

· Vehicle stop thresholds and documented miles apply

· Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED.

· Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma.

ABOUT YOU

· Must be over 21 years old.

· Have a valid driver license.

· Must Pass a criminal background check.

· No felonies * Pass a drug screen.

· Must have excellent navigation skills and be extremely proficient with use of Google Maps.

· Have a clean driving record (1 point/ticket, no DUI's, and no suspensions).

· Must be willing to work a rotating schedule, including weekends.

· Preferably domiciled in the South Houston metropolitan area.

· Able to Lift 150lbs Packages (if needed) - average packages are small

· Prior delivery experience is preferred but not required (non-CDL, Uber and Lyft qualify).

· Must have reliable transportation to and from Terminal.

· Comply with company appearance guidelines

· Must have an Android or iPhone cell phone with data

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Deliver and pick up a wide variety of items to and from different addresses and through different routes within a region

· Conduct inspections of vehicle prior to departing to deliver/pick up packages

· Follow delivery and pick up routes and time schedules

· Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle

· Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints

· Complete logs and reports

· Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

· Complete inspections of vehicle after route has been completed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Must be over 21 years old

· Have a valid driver license

· Pass a criminal background check

· No felonies * Pass a drug screen

· Have a clean driving record (1 point/ticket, no DUI's, and no suspensions)

· Must be willing to work a rotating schedule, including weekends

· Prior delivery experience is preferred but not required (non-CDL, Uber and Lyft qualify)

· Your delivery driving experience MUST be within the last 3 years.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from Terminal
