Responsibilities
· Provides guidance and information support to a large and varied client base that is geographically disbursed.
· Assures that deadlines are met for submission of actions.
· Uses automated Human Resources and payroll processing system to process Requests for Personnel actions (SF-52s) or equivalent forms.
· Provides assistance to Human Resources Specialists and hiring managers in the areas of transactional processing requirements for routine actions to include reassignments, promotions, change to lower grades, awards, etc.
· Applies Guide to Processing Personnel Actions, other OPM regulations, and agency policies and procedures for various actions to include reassignments, promotions, change to lower grades, awards, etc.
· Researches, analyzes, follows-up or escalates processing errors and/or problems.
· Researches and codes regulatory authority code and legal authority, grade, step and pay, retirement system, veteran’s preference, remarks, tenure group, etc.
· Validates service computation dates and recomputes them as necessary. Ensures appropriate documents are on file and are legible.
Qualifications
· Able to obtain Public Trust clearance upon hire
· 3 years of operational service center experience
· Minimum three (3) years experience processing transactional Personnel Actions for Federal agencies
· Researching OPM Guide to Processing Personnel Actions and agency operating procedures and guidance concerning coding SF-52s, or equivalent forms and issues related to processing Personnel Actions, appointing eligibilities, veteran’s preference, etc.
· Reviewing, analyzing, validating and performing error resolution for payroll actions under various pay systems.
· Interpreting and applying HR regulations and policies/practices related to Staffing (such as pay setting, coding Personnel Actions such as promotions and reassignments; and determining veteran preference entitlements, computing service computation dates, etc.).
· Communicating effectively with supervisors/management, HR Specialists and employees to provide information, respond to questions and concerns, and solution remedies.
Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree desired
· Experience processing a variety of Personnel Actions ensuring completeness and accuracy. Specific experience in Peoplesoft HCM, HR Connect, EmpowHR, and NFC
· Shared Service experience.
· Experience in ticket management (e.g. ServiceNow, etc.)
· 3 years of operational service center experience

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
