IMSolutions is looking for Federal Administrative Support Specialists to join us at our client, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
NOAA is a scientific and regulatory agency within the United States Department of Commerce that forecasts weather, monitors oceanic and atmospheric conditions, charts the seas, conducts deep sea exploration and manages fishing and protection of marine mammals and endangered species in the U.S.
As a Contracts Closeout and Administrative Assistant, you will have a critical role in performing various basic contract closeouts with high-level clerical Administrative Support. The ideal candidate will be extremely professional and organized, familiar with Federal financial processes, proactive in asking questions, and able to work well with people both inside and outside of government.
- Review contracts for cradle-to-grave closeout actions.
- Support administrative functions including scheduling and calendar management.
- Perform analytical functions, including reviewing and analyzing data, drafting, and developing reports, and tracking data to meet identified goals.
- Support meeting management, including the development of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other materials. Track and monitor action items.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including ensuring paperwork is submitted and tracking hiring status.
- Help to develop and implement employee engagement/morale activities, both for in-person and online events.
- Draft, edit, and format correspondence, slide decks, and written materials.
- 7+ years of Federal administrative clerical support expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including the use of PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Outlook to process data relevant to business requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Outstanding fact-finding and creative thinking skills, with the ability to consistently follow up and meet deadlines.
- Positive professional attitude – demonstrating an ultimate desire to fulfill organizational objectives by providing a positive customer experience.
- U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three or more years.
- Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on their application.
- $50,000 to $60,000 - actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.
- Fully remote position - 100% telework in the U.S.
