This advertisement is for a Career Service position located in West Palm Beach, reporting to Central Office.


Salary Range: $49,792.34 - $55,324.88 annually


SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.


SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is an administrative position responsible for directing the Region’s real property lease management program as well as coordinates, as needed, records retention and disposal activities, surplus property, fleet reporting and other administrative duties. Specific duties include the following:

  • Coordinates the Region’s real property lease management program.
  • Completes quarterly site evaluation inspections on all real property leases in the region and follows up with Lessor to assure deficiencies have been addressed.
  • Prepares correspondence to Lessor on leasing issues and deficiencies.
  • Provides recommendations to Central Office Leasing staff on leasing issues and actions.
  • Works with Central Office Leasing agent to determine and develop space needs.
  • Handles all local problems associated with real property leases (janitorial, maintenance, etc.) in coordination with field personnel.
  • Provides advice to Regional Director and staff on space planning, space need a build-out projects for leased space.
  • Coordinates the relocation of staff one build-out/renovations are complete.
  • In coordination with the Office of Institutions regional staff, assists Community Corrections staff, as needed, with records retention and disposal activities, surplus property, fleet reporting and other administrative duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. An associate degree and two years of leasing experience or four years of leasing experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
  • Five (5) years of state or other government leasing experience.
  • Experience working independently with little supervision.
