Hello!

We are looking to hire a contract Fashion Designer to concept and execute a small summer '24 capsule collection and a small FW '24 collection for a gen z, womens swimwear brand. Ideally someone that can grow with us as we expand our brand into clothing + accesories. Looking for someone that is fully immersed in gen z style and brands (ssense, tank air, gimaguas, mirror palais, miaou, coperni, elderstatesman, heavn marc jacobs, etc) This will be contract style position per collection. LA based is preferred but can be fully remote if needed

You Will...

• create original clothing designs that will help drive the brand forward
• moodboard, concept and sketch
• collaborate with brand founders
• select fabric, trims and materials for production
• create tech drawings and specs for manufacturers
• help manage production process and contact with manufacturers to ensure quality and adherence to specs
• attend fittings to make adjustements to samples as needed

Qualifications

• proven experience in fashion design with a portfolio showcasing original work
• proficient in fashion deisgn software (CAD, Adobe suite)
• strong sketching and illustration skills
• knowledge of garment construction teqhniques and fabric properties
• ability to sew/create prototypes preferred but not required
• strong communication and teamwork skills
• sense of urgancey in all tasks and communication
• above all else we are looking for someone creative with a distinct point of view

Pay: $19.33 - $22.27 per hour
