MARKET MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Tiny Giant Farm is a small, urban, organic vegetable farm focusing on high quality greens, roots and tomatoes!
This will be our fifth season vending at the Texas Township Farmers' Market. We're looking for someone to be our Market Manager for the 2024 Season and hopefully beyond! The Market runs on Saturdays, May 11 - Oct. 19. With training beginning two weeks beforehand (April 27).
Position involves setting up an attractive display of organic vegetables, customer service and sales, loading and unloading farm produce.

- Ability to work in a fast paced and physical environment
- Have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- An artistic eye for market displays!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run the Texas Township Farmers' Market Booth on Saturday Mornings, 8 - Noon
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Commit to Saturdays from May 11th - Oct.19th
- Meet at Farm and pack vehicles for the market at 6am.
- Drive farm van to market via highway
- Unload and set-up display
- Sell and engage with customers
- Pack up after market and transport items back to farm
- Keep track of inventory and report sales
- (If it sounds like a lot, Don't worry! Someone will be there to train you the first several markets!)
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
- Seasonal Position: April 27 - October 19th. Every Saturday, Market runs 8am to Noon.
- Shift runs 6am to 1:30pm (7.5 hours)
- Pay is based on experience (but starts at $16 / hr)
