Career Description: As an Farm Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and accurate mixing, blending, and loading of fertilizer products onto trucks or other transportation vehicles for outgoing shipments. Your primary responsibility is to follow mixing, blending, and loading procedures, to ensure product quality and quantity, and to maintain a safe and organized mix and load-out process. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Fertilizer Blending: Follow prescribed formulations and instructions to accurately blend various fertilizer components, ensuring the correct proportions and quality standards are met.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain fertilizer mixing equipment, such as blending machines, conveyor systems, and scales, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any equipment issues to the supervisor.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks throughout the blending process to verify the consistency and accuracy of the fertilizer blends. Report any deviations or discrepancies to the Location Manager.
Loadout Operations: Execute the loading process according to established procedures, ensuring that the correct fertilizer products, quantities, and packaging are accurately loaded for each shipment.
Equipment Operation: Operate loading equipment, such as conveyor belts, loading spouts, and scales, safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to the Location Manager.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Location Manager to maintain accurate stock levels of fertilizers available for loading. Alert the team when stock levels are low to avoid shortages.
Order Fulfillment: Work closely with the Location Manager and other team members to prioritize and process customer orders. Communicate any potential delays or issues that may impact order delivery.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of loading activities, including quantities loaded, shipping documentation, and any incidents or discrepancies. Complete necessary paperwork and submit it to the appropriate departments.
Housekeeping: Keep the loadout area clean and organized at all times. Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly to maintain a safe and tidy workspace.
