CSO is looking for a Family Support Worker to join our Family Support Services team in Gardner. We provide a Professional and supportive work environment, unrivaled onsite training, meaningful and supportive supervision, flexible schedules and a strong team environment.
You Will:
- Provide skills training and assistance in areas of daily living activities including basic living, interactive and parent skills. Assist in developing communication and conflict resolution skills and act as a role model for interpersonal relationships.
- Help parents meet children's daily needs; observe and document child growth and development.
- Assist with family advocacy needs; facilitate "mediation" as appropriate.
- Provide counseling and intensive support to consumers during psychiatric crises or periods of transition.
- Assist consumer with identifying appropriate mental health and medical services and accessing services of choice.
- Provide assistance with developing and maintaining a "natural support network" of family and friends.
- Provide transportation for consumers as appropriate, following program guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a mental health field
- Experience working with children and families
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, (English/Spanish speaking.)
