JOB TITLE:                      Family Support Specialist

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:      Part-time, 20 hours/week

SCHEDULED HOURS:      Flexible Schedule: Sat-Sun 10AM-8PM or Sat-Sun 12PM-5PM & 2 weeknights 5PM-10PM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services (EMPS)

Youth Mobile Crisis program providing phone triage support and in-person Mobile Crisis assessment and intervention in the homes, schools,  and other community-based settings.  EMPS offer support to youth, ages 0 to 17 or 18+ if still in high school, and their caregivers during times of emotional behavioral, or situational distress. EMPS focuses on prevention, early intervention, and stabilization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains weekly client, family and other collateral contacts to ensure quality, client-centered services.
  • Includes all identified team members in treatment planning and discharge processes whenever possible.
  • Provides case management, clinical referral, and crisis supports as indicated. Works in close collaboration with assigned clinician in event of crisis.
  • Demonstrates competency in topics of child development, substance use, and provides trauma sensitive and culturally competent care.
  • Uses EMR to document all services and contacts with clients, collateral contacts and appointments.
  • Insures child connects to most appropriate level of care

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in human services required.

Experience:  At least two (2) years experience in a mental health setting preferred. For identified positions, bilingual capacity may be required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license.

Training: Will attend all required program trainings.

COMPENSATION*:

$18.86/hour min.-$28.29/hour max., dependent upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
