Family Practice Physician

Position Overview: Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) seeks Board Certified/Eligible and licensed Family Practice Physicians to support operations at Albuquerque Indian Health Center - 801 Vassar Drive NE Albuquerque NM 87106; performance may also include Santa Ana Health Center - Santa Ana Pueblo, O2-C Dove Road, Bernalillo, NM 87004 and Zia Health and Dental Clinic - 155 Capitol Square Drive, Zia Pueblo, NM 87053.

Pay Rate: 1099 - $169 per hour.

Schedule: Work Shift: 8 hours – usually 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except all Federal Holidays. Tour of Duty will take place within these hours, unless otherwise scheduled.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs usual duties, responsibilities, and functions of a physician, including history taking, physicals, examination, the ordering of appropriate laboratory and x-ray procedures, the interpretations and synthesis of clinical data, formulation of therapeutic programs, conveying of information to patients and their families, support of patients and families in times of illness, and the timely maintenance of adequate records detailing these activities.
• Determines when the services of a specialist are needed to treat unusual cases.
• Makes necessary arrangements for the admission of patients to the appropriate hospital.
• Renders care as needed, and as schedule for urgent care/same day clinic.
• Maintains patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Participates in Quality Assurance/Risk Management activities of the clinic.
• Participates in activities to support AAAHC accreditation as assigned.
• The individual will contribute to ongoing educational programs for all categories of health professions attached to the Albuquerque Indian Health Center (physicians, nurses, medics, etc.).
• Actively participates in medical staffing meetings, serves on appropriate staff committees as appointed or elected.
• Observes and abides by all by-laws of the Albuquerque Indian Health Center including rules and regulations of the medical staff.
• Participates in Service Unit meetings and in services.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• All providers shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted medical or physician assistant license in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the US.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Full-time employment within the past 12 months as a practicing Family Practice physician.
• Must possess a degree and be a graduate of an accredited medical school and all other incidentals required in the delivery of services.
• Provide a copy of his/her work experience (resume, C.V.).
• The contractor shall comply with Federal drug-free workplace and work force requirements LAW the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Indian Health Service is a tobacco-free place. No smoking or tobacco products are allowed on any campuses.
• The contractor will comply with the controlled substances act (CSA), Under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), any practitioner prescribing, dispensing, or administering CDS must have a valid DEA number.
• Must fluently read, write, and speak English.

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
