Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking an experienced Family Partner to join our Mobile Outreach Response Engagement Stabilization (MORES) team in Pittsboro, NC.

Immediate opening -- start as early as March 18th with a completed background check.

There is a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this position!

MORES is a team-based crisis intervention for children and adolescents ages 3-21 experiencing emotional and/or behavioral needs. MORES provides up to four weeks of follow-up services for youth who have experienced a behavioral health crisis.

As a MORES Family Partner, you will partner with a youth and their family for support to help meet the behavioral and emotional needs following a crisis. Through your lived experience, you will teach the families how to overcome challenges, overcome difficulties and achieve a more stable family life for the youth and families. You will assist the parent/caregiver, youth and other members of the family in making informed choices regarding their care, services and other life decisions. You will also assist the family in identifying precursors and antecedents to past crises and encourage them to work in collaboration with their chosen supports to prevent future crises from occurring.

To qualify, candidates must hold one of the following minimum qualifications (please read carefully):

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of experience working with the target population (children, adolescents or transition-aged youth)
  • Associate's degree in a Human Services field from an accredited school and two years of experience working with the target population (children, adolescents or transition-aged youth)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited school and one year of experience working with the target population (children, adolescents or transition-aged youth)
  • Candidates must also be/have been a parent or legal guardian with decision making abilities for a child who has/had mental health, substance use disorders, or intellectual/development disability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
