Family Nurse Practitioner

An established primary care and multi-specialty medical practice is seeking an experienced Fulltime Family Nurse Practitioner (40 hours per week) to be an integral part of our team. This position is for our Primary Care offices, located in Ridgewood, NY. An outstanding opportunity for the candidate to build primary care and make a difference to the patients in our neighborhood.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform wellness visits, sick visits, urgent care, and follow up visits
• Establish diagnosis and treat patients
• Work independently, demonstrating strong clinical skills and sound judgment
• Prescribe medication and monitor patient meds
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKG, PFT, ultrasound, x-rays, etc…
• Administer vaccines
• Refer patients to specialists as needed
• Document visit and chart in the EHR
• Participation in clinical quality improvement programs
• Work with the Medical Director, clinical, and administrative teams in a cohesive and productive manner

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3 to 5 years of direct patient care experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Private practice experience in a primary care setting a plus
• Certification to perform DOT physicals Pref. If not licensed, candidate is required to be certified with 60 days. (Company pays for policy within that timeline).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license
• Active NYS RN license
• Active DEA number
• Active NPI number
• Board Certification
• Malpractice Insurance (Company pays for policy)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $70.00 - $95.00 per hour
