Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a part of Southwest Healthcare, serves Palmdale, the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys, and outlying desert communities, a region of a half-million people. The hospital is designated as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, a STEMI Receiving Center, and offers a 35-bed Emergency Department. Surgeons at PRMC use the da Vinci Surgical System for advanced, minimally invasive robotic surgery for prostate, gynecologic, kidney and gallbladder. A wound care center with hyperbaric medicine and the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute and The Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute offer inpatient and outpatient services.
