Description:
U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA), member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Chair of the Subcommittee on Human Rights & the Law (HRL), seeks part-time or full-time Fall 2024 Law Clerks. Law clerks will support the Committee and Subcommittee's policy and investigative work. Primary responsibilities include researching and writing legal memos and briefs, drafting and editing oversight letters, assisting Committee and Subcommittee staff with preparation for meetings and hearings, supporting the Committee and Subcommittee staff with administrative assignments, and other duties as assigned. Law clerks will work closely with the Senator's staff on all issues under the Committee's jurisdiction. Candidates must be exceptionally strong writers, detail-oriented, self-starters, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in investigations, such as working for an oversight committee or as a prosecutor, is a plus. Georgia ties preferred but not required.
