The Division of Clinical Trials and Biostatistics is comprised of 25 Ph.D. statisticians, 74 biostatisticians, and 120 statistical programmers, with members based at all three Mayo Clinic campuses (Minnesota, Arizona, and Florida). The Division contributes to research areas spanning from the basic sciences to translational research, Clinical Trials, and population health. Division staff collaborate with investigators within and outside of Mayo Clinic on thousands of active projects, covering a wide range of disciplines including cancer, Alzheimer's disease, respiratory, cardiology, neurology, radiology, surgery, anesthesiology, nursing, laboratory medicine, and pathology.
The Division's unique collaboration model emphasizes the importance of disease area knowledge in the design and analysis of research studies by integrating a dedicated statistical team into research groups. Division staff develop, maintain, and promote state-of-the-art designs and analytical methods expertise and lead multiple initiatives surrounding study designs, data acquisition, data management, analyses, and interpretation of research studies.
