Maintain Valleyfair's high standard of cleanliness throughout the property including, but not limited to, park common areas, walkways, parking lots, and administrative offices. Assist with training and providing work direction for Facility Maintenance Associates.
Responsibilities:
- Trains Facility Maintenance Associates in their duties and responsibilities and certifies employees on the operation of equipment
- Learns and complies with the proper use of all chemicals necessary for all Facility Maintenance positions.
- Ensures proper use of all chemiclas used by Facility Maintenance employees and ensures all chemicals are labeled correctly.
- Ensures cleanliness of assigned area and entire park.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, including but not limited to minor labor laws.
- Prepares daily break sheets and assists supervisor with daily task assignments.
- Informs associates of relevant park and department information
- Resolves guest and associate issues.
- Maintains inventory of department supplies.
- Performs all duties of a Facility Maintenance Associate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
- Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
- Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work from color blueprints.
- High level familiarity and experience working with shop tools.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and from heights.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
