Facility Engineer

Position requirements are to perform a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC and Mechanical Systems. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic, Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, UPS, Security Systems, Client, and other similar types of related equipment and systems is a PLUS.
Main Duties:
1. Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor and Adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.
2. Performs a variety of service work for areas such as mechanical, electrical / electronic, fire alarm, UPS, fire extinguishers, security, electronic locking doors, hydraulics, carpentry, and machine servicing, plumbing sys, lighting sys, etc.
3. Will plan, select, and Client out required materials for service and repair work.
4. Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks.
5. Uses building prints, schematics and other available documents while troubleshooting system failures and work requests.
6. Manages subcontracted work to ensure proper notifications are sent, work is completed in accordance with designed scope of work and ensures all safety requirements are met.
7. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines instrumental to building operations.
8. Provide detailed information related to procurement group for new supplies and equipment.
9. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and complies with all company policies.
10. Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to after-hours emergency situations at the facility.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Completion of a two-year technical degree or equivalent plus 10 years' experience in a Facilities Operations and Maintenance environment.
2. Ability to maintain all HVAC systems (AHU's, condensing units, pumps, etc).
3. Working and operating knowledge of Metasys (Client).
4. Ability to operate and troubleshoot Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems with an understanding of NFPA standards.
5. Knowledge in building Security Systems to include card readers, surveillance cameras and electronic locking systems a PLUS.
6. Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.
7. Working understanding of UPS and Generator systems.
8. Proven Electrical system working knowledge a PLUS.
9. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs requests.
10. Required to be at project location to preform work.
11. Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
