Dewees Island is a small barrier island off Charleston's coast accessible by a private 20-minute ferry ride. We take pride in the preservation of the beautiful environment and wildlife. The private island is home to residents with the same passion for the environment. The Property Owners Association seeks a Facility and Room Attendant to join our environmental services program. The position is full-time. Candidates must be self-motivated, customer service-oriented, organized, and a quick learner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position carries broad responsibility and authority to act in the best interests of the Property Owners Association (POA). The Facility and Room Attendant will fully own the environmental services program. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Daily
- Cleaning of rental golf carts (6)
- Placement of golf carts into the rental spaces for guests/visitors
- Reporting any cart maintenance issues
- Removal of trash from common areas
- Cleaning of the pool deck and swimming pool (seasonal)
- Weekly
- Housekeeping duties for 4 rental condos, administration buildings, and nature center
- Blowing off decks and walkways at amenity center and nature center
- Cleaning of the commercial kitchen at amenity center
- Washing of linens
- Restocking of supplies
- Monthly
- Cleaning of all windows at amenity center, administration buildings, and nature center
- Detail of all carts in rental program
- Deep clean of each condo bathroom and kitchen
- Quarterly
- Deep clean of offices at admin building
- Deep clean of amenity center kitchen
- Power wash admin buildings
- Prepare supplies and inventory (linens, soaps, etc.) for housekeeping
- Manage inventory, organize and stock housekeeping room
- Inspect suites, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness, appearance, and safety
- Enforce association rules and regulations
- Minor repairs/maintenance on all buildings

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Housekeeping experience required.
- Maintenance experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Valid current driver's license required.
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.
Compensation: $18-$20/hr.
