What you'll do
The Facilities Workerwill work Part-time, Evenings. The primary purpose of this position is to perform all custodial functions in the process of maintaining and cleaning of the building and grounds.

• The Facilities Worker assists with floor care.
• The Facilities Worker does routine cleaning of the kitchen and equipment.
• Picks up trash and linen.
• Cuts down any cardboard.
• The Facilities Worker picks up trash in dietary.
• Picks up RED bags (infectious waste).
• The Facilities Worker picks up bibs for laundry.
• The Facilities Worker must use floor machines: war-horse, buffer, wet vac, etc.
• Locks all doors at specified time.
• The Facilities Worker completes mopping as scheduled.
• The Facilities Worker maintains cleanliness of designated restrooms.
• The Facilities Worker fills paper towel holders and soap dispensers.
• Dusts floors and furniture.
• Remove snow and ice from exits and entrances.
• The Facilities Worker completes oxygen and tank hook ups.
• Clean and dust all stairwells.
• The Facilities Worker assists in minor maintenance repairs, including evaluating situation and reporting to night supervisor if maintenance needs to be called.
• The Facilities Worker responds to all Fire Alarms.
• Completes nightly safety inspections.
• Assists in all other duties deemed necessary by supervisor.
• Attends all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies including the use of personal protective equipment.
• The Facilities Worker maintains CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations.

What we need from you
Education:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

• Experience in hospital or health related facility preferred

Skills:

• Attention to Detail
• Reliability

• Time Management

Physical requirements:

• Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, reaching, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use, stooping, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)
• Occasional fit testing
• Frequent grasping, hearing, pushing, standing, walking

Hazards:

• Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, chemical, electrical, mechanical.

Working conditions:

• Occasional extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, wet and/or humid, dust, fumes, mists, odors.

Travel:

• Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $15.50/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $16.50/Hr.
