Facilities Technician - Houston and International - Spanish / Portuguese
Stetson Global is working with an innovative, financially stable and growing energy company based in Houston and with operations all over the world, particularly in South America and West Africa. This firm is adding to their existing staff, which consists of over 500 employees in the headquarters office and over 1,000 employees in the field in a variety of producing basins. The Facilities Technician position supports a mix of plants and facilities located in Texas, South America and West Africa providing leadership and support to the plants
Proficiency speaking and reading in Spanish or Portuguese is STRONGLY PREFERRED
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Facilities Technician experience and expertise to oil & gas projects currently underway.
- Work to support operations in implementation of operating methods, procedures, design, installation and modifications of machinery, equipment and facilities in order to reduce or eliminate operating problems and improve the quantity and reliability of production; ensure property, facilities, and equipment remain in good repair and appearance and comply with applicable rules and regulations.
- Monitor and/or review plant performance and troubleshoot operating issues
- HSE (health, safety & environment) performance, including air quality, engineering support of environmental compliance, and participation in safety programs and training
- Improve reliability, efficiency, costs, and/or capacity at the plant(s)
- Develop and refine financial monitoring models to identify performance gaps, troubleshoot abnormal conditions, and create solutions to plant operating issues
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with Operations personnel to develop solutions to operational problems and to improve efficiency, reliability, regulatory compliance, and safety of the company’s production facilities.
- Establish rollout procedures and implementation of EH&S policies & guidelines to company and contract personnel involved with capital projects.
- Knowledge of process facilities, pipelines, rotating equipment, surface equipment design and operation
- Applicable knowledge of automation and electrical design principles
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience working in the facilities engineering and Facilities Technician roles within an active energy / oil & gas company.
- BS in Engineering; Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering preferred
- Can understand and optimize the capabilities of production facilities equipment to maximize the Company's production, including separation, emissions control, pipeline and pumping, compression and dehydration
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to travel Internationally
