Primary Purpose:

The Facilities Technician III is responsible for the safety, security and wellbeing of all students, staff and visitors at the Texans Can Campuses. The primary responsibilities of this position include the review of the building’s safety, to observe, to monitor and report any and all concerns of the buildings and property; complete assigned tasks and directives from their supervisor and approved directives from the principals; the execution of general operating procedures; preventative maintenance of the buildings, vehicles and property(s); and the Coordination of construction projects, vendor contacts, emergencies, janitorial, landscaping and other duties.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to provide basic Facility functions in the discharge of their assigned duties

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to use a corporate personal computer and a Smartphone

Experience:

Eight years’ of verifiable experience of facilities maintenance to include – logistics; painting; carpentry; plumbing; and electrical

Requirements:

No felony convictions

Must pass drug screening

Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

Emergency repairs, immediate cleaning if needed

Working knowledge/experience required in the following areas:

• Painting
• Drywall
• Plumbing
• Electricity
• HVAC
• Logistics-Furniture assembly and moving

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Limited to Vendors

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Normal work schedule is 8 hours a day, 40 hour work week. Overtime as needed.

Working conditions will vary depending on the weather

Driving a company vehicle

Having the ability to meet the physical constraints of this position.
