Facilities Tech

Role Purpose:

Responsible for properly maintaining the Conover facility including, but not limited to, the cleaning of all office areas, painting walls, if necessary, in both the office and shop floor. Emptying and cleaning of all waste recycle receptacles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Empty and clean all waste recycle receptacles. Waste and trash will be disposed in the trash dumpster located at the rear of the facility.
• Recyclables will be disposed of in designated area at the rear of the facility.
• Change out all plastic liners as needed to maintain a clean appearance.
• Vacuum all entrance rugs and carpet in the offices, lobby, and corridors. Edge vacuum as needed to maintain appearance.
• Spot clean carpet where spillage has occurred. Notify the Facility Manager of unsuccessful attempts.
• Clean restrooms according to specifications.
• Report leaking toilets, sinks, urinals, and any other noticeable maintenance issues in the building.
• Sweep and mop uncarpeted floors employing dust control techniques. Remove rugs and clean under rug area.
• Hand dust or wipe clean with damp or treated cloth ALL office furniture, files, fixtures, window- sills, chairs, tables, and all other horizontal surfaces twice weekly.
• Clean glass furniture tops removing fingerprints and smudges from their surface.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from vertical surfaces including, but not limited to doors, door frames. All light switches, private entrance glass, partitions, pictures, and wall decorations.
• Clean all exterior areas in the smoking area, including cigarette receptacles. Replace sand in cigarette receptacles when necessary.
• Sweep all entrances as needed to maintain a clean appearance.
• Wash exterior windows at appropriate time.
• Other duties as assigned.
