The Facilities Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the construction contractors and supplier activities of several engineering disciplines on Facilities projects.
- Plan, organize and direct office space build-out and reconfiguration project(s); including, the overall safety, cost, schedule and quality of assigned projects in Burns & McDonnell facilities located throughout the U.S. and internationally.
- Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed. Perform as project leader for Burns & McDonnell team, staffed by representatives from IT, Security, other support groups. Perform as Liaison with General Contractor on all levels of construction.
- Consult and assist internal clients with concepts and designs of office interiors and space planning.
- Provide direction and project work assignments to others as needed.
- Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of project staff.
- Provide performance feedback to department managers for project team members as appropriate.
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Identify opportunities and manage team efforts for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiation, and related activities.
- Broad knowledge of interior construction and all supporting disciplines - design, construction, power, low voltage cabling, etc.
- Demonstrated success in project management and process improvement.
- Proficiency in the use of basic computer software (i.e., Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in interior architecture, interior design, or related field from accredited program. and 8 years related experience in design and interior construction management, including 5 years or more project management experience in the architecture, interior design, construction industry required.
- Broad knowledge of interior construction and all supporting disciplines- power, low voltage cabling, etc.
- Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
