Your Role:
MilliporeSigma is seeking a motivated Facilities Project Engineer to join our Carlsbad, CA team. The Facilities Project Engineer position will range from supporting automated equipment to large site and facility construction scale projects associated with a cGMP contract manufacturing facility. This person will report to the Engineering Department Manager and assists in meeting the corporate production and growth goals. In meeting these goals, the Facilities Project Engineer will ensure that projects are performed on schedule, within budget, and milestones are achieved with clear responsibilities and team accountability.
Essential job functions:

• Manage and coordinate projects under the direction of management.
• Responsible for the planning, development, scheduling, cost analysis, and presentation of project scope, design, deadlines, and workflow processes.
• Manage project support including drawing submittals, technical assessments, safety reviews, and as applicable provide direct labor and trade skills as appropriate to projects.
• Manage and coordinate the project construction phase.
• Manage and coordinate startup, commissioning, validation, and closeout of projects all while ensuring that all work is performed in alignment with approved costs (CAPEX and Expense), safety plans, cGMP and regulatory guidelines.

Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or other engineering or life science studies.
• 2+ years of experience in Project Engineering, equipment installation, operation, maintenance, repair calibration or validation activities.
• 1+ years of experience working in a regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other engineering or life science studies.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or project management position.
• Knowledge of utility systems and equipment including; HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Heating Ht Water Systems, Building Management Systems, Purified Water Systems, WFI, Clean Steam, Boilers and Steam Distribution Systems, Clean Compressed Air and Lab Gas Systems, Emergency Generators, Electrical Distribution as well as Security and Access Control Systems.
• Experience in areas of Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Carpentry.
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD, and/or MS Project.

Pay Range for this position - $49,500 - $148,900
Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role, and are derived from relevant industry market data.
