Summary of the Job: Responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of all equipment, physical structures, building and grounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, coordinate, maintain utilization of space consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency
- Supervise contractors engaged in ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings. This includes supervising janitorial.
- Oversee and direct maintenance of equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance (per ISO 9001 requirements and 14001)
- Conduct regular weekly facility inspection walks and document findings.
- Maintain current and accurate records of such.
- Maintain and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled PM Service contracts.
- Maintain calibration tags/records
- Maintain and ensure all First Aid cabinets are regularly supplied and monitored
- Order, maintain and ensure all protective equipment and clothing articles are in their proper places.
- Layout, install, and maintain location of furniture, equipment, doorways, electrical outlets, telephone system, security system, timeclock system, and other facility-related items in compliance with government specs and safety codes
- Develop, maintain, and audit the Company Emergency Procedures booklet
- Change and review the security tapes for the President
- Audit processes and procedures for compliance and quality.
- Continually seek out ways to improve quality of service.
- Ensure that delegated elements for ISO 14001 are implemented and maintained
- Adhere to the DCL Code of Conduct
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- May conduct special studies relating to the introduction of new processes, products or equipment to affect cost reduction and yield improvement
- Pick up mail three times a week
- Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned
PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Ability to move 75+ pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, squat, crawl, or lay in positions to adjust, repair and/or restore equipment for long periods
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of facilities related background
- 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity
- Must be self-directed and a self-starter, with ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Must be able to document, maintain and ensure accurate records for all safety and security issues
- AA degree preferred, or equivalent
