The Facilities Lead is responsible for all the physical spaces that our Minneapolis Indeed team works in, whether that be in the Solar Arts Building or Quincy Station or the outside grounds surrounding our spaces. This role is a part of the Beer team and reports to the Director of Beer. They ensure our spaces are clean, organized and safe as well as manage our OSHA compliance & forklift certification.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facilities Lead is responsible for all the physical spaces that our Minneapolis Indeed team works in, whether that be in the Solar Arts Building or Quincy Station or the outside grounds surrounding our spaces. This role is a part of the Beer team and reports to the Director of Beer. They ensure our spaces are clean, organized and safe as well as manage our OSHA compliance & forklift certification.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep all our Minneapolis Indeed spaces clean, safe and in good working order inside and outside. This includes wearing multiple hats including but not limited to janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, small projects, organizational projects, maintenance or lending a hand where needed.
- Perform & maintain PM checklists and maintenance tasks. Contract out projects that are unable to be completed in-house.
- Work with contractors and equipment specialists and ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Work with all areas of the business including production, packaging, warehouse, taproom and office to help ensure we are OSHA compliant and participate in regular safety meetings.
- Ensure forklift safety is maintained and certify people that need to drive the forklift.
- Collaborate with COO and Director of Beer to help implement and maintain an organizational system within the warehouse and brewery areas in Minneapolis and partner with Milwaukee to do the same.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to work cross departmentally.
- Give direction to anyone helping with landscaping or snow plowing seasonally from other departments.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Responsibility for facilities in an industrial or regulated facility environment is preferred
- Must have working knowledge of, or be willing to learn, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical and be competent in building systems operations
- Must be forklift certified and able to certify others or willing to learn and get certification
- Boiler certified or willing to become boiler certified
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with internal and external customers
- Ability to be on your feet all day and meet the physical demands of the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds safely and occasionally maneuver 165 lb. kegs. w/ help from a dolly or other reasonable accommodation.
- Work on your feet in a physically demanding environment for up to 8 hours a shift
- Ability to sit, squat, stand, bend, reach, climb ladder, etc. in an 8 hour day
- Able to wear appropriate PPE
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full Time, with the flexibility to address facility emergencies and occasional nights and weekends.
- Potential travel to Milwaukee 1-2 times a year.
