Job Description
The Lead Facility Technician at Scanlan is responsible for performing and monitoring facility maintenance duties for Scanlan International (corporate office) and Scanlan Group Logistics Center (SGLC), assisting with inventory management, light grounds work, working with outside contractors and miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Perform and monitor facility maintenance duties at the Scanlan corporate office and the SGLC warehouse facility located next door/across the alley.
- Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on buildings (i.e., painting, drywall repair and carpentry), equipment and machinery.
- Assists with unscheduled repairs/troubleshooting of building, grounds and equipment working with outside contractors if needed.
- Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks.
- Responsible for facility closing for both Scanlan and SGLC at the end of business hours.
- On Call List for alarm notifications for both buildings on a 24/7 basis.
- Responds to emergencies and supports after hours facility needs and activities as required. May include weekends and holidays.
Assist with/complete requests for maintenance for Scanlan and SGLC facilities either hands on or through coordination with an approved contractor if needed including, but not limited to:
- Respond to maintenance requests placed through our CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) in a timely manner.
Maintain condition of the buildings and grounds at both Scanlan and SGLC facilities in a clean and orderly manner:
- Daily upkeep of the grounds, including but not limited to trash pickup, addressing landscaping needs and any damaged areas.
- Daily, weekly, monthly checklists created during walkthroughs of buildings and grounds.
- Seasonal tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, shoveling, operating a snowblower, light lawn/landscape maintenance as needed.
- Responsible for the condition of all equipment used to maintain the grounds.
- Schedule any grounds work that is covered by our contractors throughout the year.
Responsible for managing the Master Preventive Maintenance, scheduling work for both buildings either hands on or through approved contractors.
Environmental Control Manual completion and review pertaining to cleaning and pest control for both facilities.
Assist in all phases of project work involving moving, remodeling and maintenance.

Manage and submit orders for inventory of janitorial supplies.

Responsible for mail pickup daily and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience doing facility/maintenance duties required. (Painting, repairs, light grounds maintenance, etc.).
- Experience working with suppliers to complete maintenance tasks.
Skills:
- Good communication skills and a basic understanding of math.
- The manual skills are lifting up to 35 pounds alone or possibly with assistance using PPE or other appropriate equipment.
- Light ground maintenance required (sweeping, shoveling, using a snow blower, etc.).
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
