Facilities Engineering Assessor - Remote Temporary Projects

Reporting to the project manager, the role sits with in the site services function of the business. The role focuses on the compilation of asset registers and condition assessments of HVAC and MEP plant and equipment

You will attend our clients’ sites to carryout inventories and assessments of the as installed mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems. Collecting the data utilising our ELIAS tablet-based data collection application, you will work with the project manager to deliver the project requirements.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Generally:

§ Provide accurate, detailed and quality asset surveys within the agreed timescales.

§ Seek to improve working knowledge of regulations, standards and H&S guidelines.

§ Disseminate information and provide technical assistance to other members of staff as required.

§ Work within the requirements of applicable company policy and procedures and expected standards and behaviours.

Responsibility:

§ Understand the project brief and associated success factors

§ Develop and maintain client relationships with on site representatives

§ Work in a safe manner paying regard to yourself and all others around you.

§ Advise the project manager of any commercial, health & safety or operational risks

§ Provide data and reports and in a timely manner

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

We are seeking a self-starter who is an excellent communicator, capable of interacting confidently with colleagues & clients

The individual must be flexible, adaptable, whilst being able to operate with minimal supervision.

You will be a methodical thinker and be able to demonstrate relevant experience of carrying out asset surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ideally:

You will demonstrate recent relevant experience in carrying out asset and condition surveys in commercial building environments.

You will have a formal technical qualification directly relevant to the role.

You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Facilities Engineering environment.

You will have knowledge of life cycle and asset management in relation to buildings and building assets.

You must have a strong command of written and oral English and have experience of using tablet-based data collection applications.

You will need to be physically, and physiologically fit and able to be on your feet for at least 8 hours a day.

Advantageous:

You will need to be able to travel using your own vehicle and have a valid US driving license.

You must have the right to live and work in the USA

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
