As the Facilities Maintenance Associate, you will help keep the highest standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance at stores. Working in a small team, you will work closely with your colleagues in executing company programs to maintain standards of sanitation, maintenance, safety.

As the Facilities Maintenance Associate, you will help keep the highest standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance at stores. Working in a small team, you will work closely with your colleagues in executing company programs to maintain standards of sanitation, maintenance, safety.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance in order to maximize customer experience and ensure comfort and safety
- Keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Assist Management in tracking and ordering housekeeping and maintenance supplies
- Provides service at pantry and / or rest room
- Escort and supervise the performance of service providers and outsource contractors adhering to location specific security requirements and ensuring all work meets DFS specifications including completion timeframes
- Able to perform but not limited to the following: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, assist the facilities electrician, painting and janitorial
- Carry out repair work, renovation work, special event preparation
- Comply with DFS' Occupational Health & Safety Policy and procedures; report any accident/injury/hazard in the workplace to manager or the site OHS Representative using the DFS' systems and the logbook
Key Requirements
- Possess High School diploma or technical school's degree
- 2 to 3 years' experience in commercial facilities maintenance preferred
- Must be familiar with and use all hand tools, power tools and materials handling equipment in performing duties
- Certified to operate a forklift <>
- Able to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Able to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends, nights and holidays as required by the needs of the business
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
