DLR Group has an immediate opening for a Facilities Assistant. Weoperate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Location: Omaha, NE

The Administrative/Facilities Assistant is responsible for maintaining physical office space and property, and for overall office support, maintaining a presentable office, maintaining supply inventories, and performing miscellaneous errands.

  • Consistently manages maintenance tasks and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Ensures occupant satisfaction by effectively meeting the needs and expectations of office users.
  • Maintains office cleanliness, supply inventories and equipment to minimize office deficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure functionality of company vehicles, coordinate regular maintenance and cleaning.
  • Maintain print shop equipment and inventory, including laser cutter and 3D printer. Assist with various print and binding requests.
  • Manage supply orders and maintain stock levels of office supplies.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspections to identify maintenance needs for interior and exterior of building and related systems. Identify appropriate vendors and coordinate repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of office areas and perform custodial tasks, including kitchen and break room.
  • Package and mail handling.
  • Provide general administrative support and act as backup to the receptionist as needed.
  • Miscellaneous errands and deliveries.
  • Setup and breakdown for any office related events held both inside and outside the office so these events start on time and run smoothly. Ensure spaces used are returned to their original function in a timely manner.
  • Travel to assist with these responsibilities in other DLR Group office locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of facility operations, maintenance, and safety protocols. This includes knowledge of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contractors

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
