Responsible for providing a community center (Pecan Grove Gymnasium) that is welcoming to the community and provides numerous activities to all age groups and organizations. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for the department.
- Creates programming based on the community’s needs.
- Assists in the upkeep of the facility and enters work orders when needed.
- Creates a system to be able to maintain the sports equipment inventory for the facility and replaces equipment as needed.
- Assists outside organizations with obtaining the facility for private events.
- Attends and schedules necessary meetings in regards to events.
- Promotes events that are taking place that are open for the community.
- Schedules programs and events and ensures that proper amount of time is allotted per event.
- Assists the Director in managing bond fund projects.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field; 4 years significant professional athletic programming experience may substitute for degree requirement
- 2 years of job related experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials and outside agencies. Ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner; strong organizational skills;
- Valid Driver’s License
SALARY RANGE: $27.69-$34.61 /per hour
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
