Job Description:
This position is responsible for successfully implementing new and renewing group business by conducting analysis, configuration, and documentation of solutions.

Required Skills, Experience, & Education:
  1. Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. Two to 4 years’ experience in the health insurance industry.
  3. Good understanding of health plans. Medicare, Medicaid and Individual business preferred.
  4. Strong analytical skills, ability to apply critical thinking to determine best operational approach to perform Group Configuration.
  5. Able to handle requirement gathering from customer meetings.
  6. Knowledge of Facets and business components, especially benefits, premiums, provider networks and membership/enrollment.
  7. Good documentation skills.
  8. Demonstrates excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  9. Ability to use industry knowledge to relate to customer needs in order to dissolve any concerns.
  10. High level of focus and attention to detail.
  11. Strong work ethic with good time management and ability to work with diverse teams.
  12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  13. Highly developed organizational, attention to details, problem solving and prioritization skills.
  14. Ability to work independently and proactively.
  15. Ability to function as part of a team.
  16. Computer proficiency with Microsoft office applications, including Microsoft Visio.
  17. Typing proficiency of 35 wpm and 10key proficiency of 135 wpm.
  18. Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.
  19. Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Primary Functions:
  1. Ensures data on group applications are complete and accurate.
  2. Ensures accurate, quality configuration and maintenance of the company’s business.
  3. Notifies group specific performance guarantees with various internal departments.
  4. Establishes the eligibility of new group members and ensures the issuance of ID cards.
  5. Establishes class/plan descriptions in system, as well as product description, and pharmacy data.
  6. Creates first billing statement and assigns account to Billing & Eligibility Specialist for maintenance.
  7. Provides support for configuration testing and quality assurance to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new configuration or updates to Facets.
  8. Performs complex analysis and identifies solutions to resolve specific business issues.
  9. Prepares and delivers reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas.
