Responsibilities: As a Fabricator and Welder at Farber Specialty Vehicles, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, and assembly of Specialty Vehicles. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Reading blueprint layouts and engineering drawings.
- Fabricating materials to specifications.
- Laying out and building assemblies, including generators, slide-out rooms, and hydraulic leveling jacks.
- Setting up welding equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and experience levels. While manufacturing experience is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for individuals who possess the following skills and abilities:
- Competency with a variety of power tools such as drills, jig saws, rivet guns, etc.
- Knowledge of machine operation, cutting, sawing, drilling, and grinding parts is desirable.
- Experience using MIG and TIG equipment is a plus (not required for fabricators and installers).
- A high sense of urgency to meet all production goals accurately.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and a willingness to use personal protective equipment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

About Farber Specialty Vehicles: Farber Specialty Vehicles has a team of over 150 full-time employees utilizing the latest technology to design and build custom Specialty Vehicles. All vehicles are custom-designed by a team of electrical and mechanical engineers and manufactured to meet the customer’s unique needs. AutoCAD and SolidWorks computer-aided design software are used to design interiors as well as body shells. The factory includes the most up-to-date CNC, machine press, and HVAC equipment in the industry. FSV custom manufactures on many different platforms, including Freightliner, International, Ford, Prevost, and Sprinter.
