- The position available is on our 1st shift.
- Fit and Weld components and assemblies, utilizing MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Stick Welding and spot welding applications, as defined by Print Specifications.
- Use Heat Straighten techniques to ensure weldment conforms to print specifications.
- Inspection of components, utilizing standard gages (as required), to ensure "part-to-print" specifications are maintained. (Standard Gaging includes but is not limited to Scales (includes tapes), Squares, Levels, Calipers, Indicators, and Height Gages.)
- Ensure proper documentation is followed, and maintained if required, for all jobs run. This includes router procedures, setup procedures, tooling ordering procedures, etc.
- Practice good housekeeping for all areas surrounding W/C of responsibility as well as participating in keeping all other areas of the plant clean.
- Maintain equipment according to all applicable maintenance schedules, includes Personal Protective Gear.
- Order supplies and tools as required; utilizing Kanban Cards, Tooling Tags, or Purchase Order Requisition Procedures.
Machinery/Tools to Operate:
MIG Welder, TIG Welder, Flux Core Welder, Spot (Resistance) Welder, NC Band Saw, Arbor Press, applicable hand tools.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years prior experience in related Welding Environment (Includes Setup, Fitting, Straightening).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Minimum High School Education. Abilities must include reading, writing, and performing basic math computations.
• Pass Basic Metalworking Skills Assessment test.
• Physically capable of working on feet for 8 hours minimum duration with minimal break periods.
• Physically capable of lifting 50lbs without the support of Crane or Hoist.
