As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Fabrication and Exhibit Manager to lead our Exhibit and Display Carpentry department.
The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of hands-on experience in Event and Exhibit Fabrication, demonstrating a deep understanding of carpentry techniques, project management, and team leadership.
Salary range: $95k - $110k
Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end production process for exhibits and displays, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with design teams to translate creative concepts into feasible production plans.
- Manage and optimize workflow efficiency to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a team of skilled carpenters and craftsmen, fostering a collaborative and high- performance work environment.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and keep them updated on industry best practices.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that each team member contributes to project success.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality exhibits and displays.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Resource Management:
- Manage resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize production output.
- Collaborate with procurement to source high-quality materials within budget constraints.
Safety Compliance:
- Uphold and enforce safety protocols and standards within the carpentry department.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school degree, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Event and Exhibit Fabrication.
- Proven track record in managing production and operations in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials used in exhibit and display fabrication.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to read and understand complex shop drawings and specifications.
- Ability to produce creative solutions, thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License
- Schedule flexibility to meet deadlines.
- Flexible travel for any large-scale builds that need oversight.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk 100% of shift.
- Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in fluctuating temperatures.
- Ability to work under adverse situations and conditions (e.g., dirty, noisy, etc.).
