Dye Sublimation Responsibilities

. Responsible for the complete start to finish process of Bar-Ray / Burlington Medical.

. Responsible for managing the prioritizing and distributing of cutting and sewing.

  • Responsible for the complete start to finish process of the Dye Sublimation and Heat Transfer (Transmatic drum heat press) from printed transfer paper onto various synthetic materials.
  • Prepare all files for output to transfer paper.
  • Prepare all files for output to aqueous and/or solvent printers. Produces transfer media on wide format (Mimaki Printer).
  • Transfer images on paper to roll fabrics, finished garments or other receptive structures as directed by the job ticket by process of Dye Sublimation using thermal rotary or flatbed heat presses.
  • Responsible for Roll Media and loading and unloading and adding new rolls to the heat presses.
  • Output onto appropriate media as directed by job ticket.
  • As directed by job ticket, cut using Kasu Laser.
  • Output to appropriate media as directed by job ticket.
  • Rigorously adhere to file management procedures as set by division policy.
  • Understands and adheres to color management procedures as set by division policy.
  • Monitor raw materials inventories of all rolled fabric, transfer paper, rolled media and cut vinyl as determined by inventory presets.
  • As directed by the Fabric Production Manager, raw materials inventories.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures as set by division policy.
  • Utilize the electronic schedule board to prioritize and schedule projects.
  • Maintain the electronic schedule board as it pertains to direct activities
  • Assists the Fabric Production Manager as needed. Brings problems and proposed solutions to Production Manager as necessary.
  • Adhere to written maintenance schedules of all machinery used in media production.
  • Works in other departments in periods of downtime and vacation coverage including, but not limited to, offset print production, signage, Grand Format, etc.

Grand Format Responsibilities

  • Prepare files for output to EFI Matan Printer
  • Weld images on vinyl as directed by the job ticket
  • Responsible for loading and unloading and adding new rolls to EFI Matan
  • Monitor raw materials inventories of all rolled vinyl materials and shipping materials.
  • Maintain ink inventories.
  • Utilize the electric schedule board to prioritize and schedule projects.
  • Adhere to written maintenance schedules of all machinery.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and/or one to three years’ experience is strongly preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to become forklift/fork truck certified.
  • Requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and use appropriate judgment in various situations.
