Job Summary: Lead sales growth in Zelouf's women's dress fabric line by cultivating and maintaining new customer relationships. Recognize client needs and leverage the company's existing product line to meet such needs. If necessary, utilize the company's supply base to source required products not readily available in the current inventory. Oversee product development, manage fabric samples, and facilitate bulk orders. Negotiate pricing and coordinate communication between clients, mills, and production to optimize revenue in a dynamic market.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and engage with a new customer base, including both untapped large NYC labels and those smaller/mid-size customers who populate the growing on-line marketplace.
· Work closely with these customers to satisfy their needs and requests.
· Identify the needs of these customers and determine how Zelouf’s product line can satisfy those needs.
· Recognize all demands of clients and explore potential business opportunities in areas where Zelouf currently product library lacks.
· Receive samples hangers and schedule weekly appointments to promote the fabric line and new art/print concepts.
· Provide customers with sample cuts from hangers based on customer’s preference of patterns, style/designs, and colors.
· Arrange and negotiate the production base selling price with the customers depending on the quantity ordered, method of shipping, destination, and testing requirements.
· Point person on sales orders and work closely with the production team.
· Deal with customers where there are fabric claims, quality control issues, or payment issues.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience in fabric or garment sales
· Relationships with major brick and mortar retailers, online retailers and garment manufacturers
· Experience selling fabric or garments to the women’s dress market. This includes the missy, prom, and bridal market.
· Superior organizational and communication skills; strong attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Team player and have good problem-solving skills.
· Strong personal skills.
· Fabric development background preferred.
