Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in food service venues and on Zoo Grounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud while on Zoo grounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Essential Functions
- Prepare/assemble food service materials including souvenir cups, food baskets, trays, etc.
- Maintain adequate supplies, such as forks, napkins and condiments in Zoo restaurants.
- Sets up workstations and dining area including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
- Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstation sand dining areas.
- Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests and co-workers.
- Adheres to Memphis Zoo safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience preparing food in an entertainment or restaurant industry.
