Eurest is looking for a dynamic, effective, and experienced communicator with a passion for telling a compelling brand story. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, the External Communications Manager has a unique opportunity to bring this new role to life with creativity and the ability to present a cohesive company story across various mediums, partnering with various stakeholders and acting on trends and effective communication and public relations strategies to enhance Eurest’s image and reputation. This person is a thought leader and executor behind Eurest’s representation with external audiences including clients, guests, Compass Group’s national and global audience, the foodservice and hospitality industry and the general public. This hybrid position is based in Charlotte, NC with remote work considered.

Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Communications, drive Eurest’s EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS strategy, supporting business growth and retention,
- Elevate Eurest’s brand identity and corporate reputation among key stakeholders including clients, guests, Compass Group’s national and global audience, the foodservice and hospitality industry and the general public
- Craft and shape our message and voice, develop story angles and communication campaigns that include traditional media, industry and public relations, client communications
- Drive Eurest’s content strategy, communication planning and storytelling initiatives forward that convey thought leadership and industry innovation across various mediums include eurest-usa.com’s blog, videos, podcasts and corporate reports
- Execute Eurest’s strategic media relation campaigns and maintain strong relationships with trade publications and other media outlets
- Work in collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams on pitches and sharing important company success stories and initiatives
- Manage awards calendar, identify opportunity and craft award submissions
- Support Eurest Leadership team with content generation, thought leadership positioning and company advocacy on LinkedIn
- Lead regular communication and storytelling campaigns that support company diversity, equity and inclusion and corporate social responsibility goals
- Author blog posts/thought leadership articles, external video scripts, press releases, speeches and talking points, corporate key messages
- Track campaigns and communications to measure and establish effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mass Communications and/or Journalism
- 5+ years of public relations, media relations and/or B2B corporate communications experience; Presentation of online portfolio demonstrating abilities and past projects required
- Candidate based in Charlotte, NC preferred; remote work considered
- Experience with creating copy for press releases, case studies, blogs, and other collateral; experience with speech and video script writing, project and virtual meeting planning
- Strong technical aptitude, current on communication measuring and reporting and social media trends
- Hospitality mindset and high business acumen
- Strong proofreading abilities including attention to detail regarding messaging, audience and tone
- Foodservice, hospitality industry experience a plus
- Knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress, Constant Contact and video editing programs a plus
- Ability to travel on occasion (up to 25% of the year) including overnights
