Experiential & Community-Based Learning Coordinator

Posting Summary:

Conceptualize, provide leadership and programmatic coordination in the development and delivery of specialized experiential learning initiatives to Rubenstein School students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Administer experiential learning programs such as academic internships and research. Consult with Rubenstein School faculty and students in developing, implementing, and maintaining high quality and high impact experiential learning opportunities.
Provide leadership and guidance on experiential learning and internship opportunities for students from underrepresented groups. Maintain and cultivate strong community partnerships with organizations, businesses and agencies doing critical environmental work. Engage collaboratively and work effectively with key University partners and offices. Evaluate and manage many complex systems, budgets, and processes.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to three years’ related experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which may include a Master’s degree required. Demonstrated experience and skills working with diverse student populations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications. Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Desirable Qualifications:

Familiarity with the UVM administrative systems (DegreeWorks, PeopleSoft, Banner, myUVM, Registrar, Drupal) and interest in environmental issues.Experience working with university-level students desired.

Special Conditions:

Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
