This seasonal position will require two weekends per month during the tax season. You must also pass the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment with a score of 80 or above. The amount of hours per week will vary, but can be between 30 to 40 hours per week and more hours during peak times in tax season. You must close two days per week during the tax season. You must also be able to work two weekends per month during the tax season. The pay range for this position is $35.00/hr. This is not a remote work position. Individuals who can perform business tax returns are highly encouraged to apply. If you are interested, you will need to take the tax knowledge assessment provided by H&R Block. Tax returns performed in the Austin TX area are of medium to difficult complexity. I am lookng to fill two positions. Both are located in Buda, TX.

Day to day, you'll...
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools - video, phone, chat, email
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
- Provide clients with IRS audit support
- Mentor and support teammates
What you'll bring to the team...
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience completing individual returns
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with virtual tools - video, phone and chat
It would be even better if you also had...
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
- Tax planning and audit support experience
- Sales and/or marketing experience
