• Experienced Tax Preparer needed for a seasonal & year round positions.
• Minimum 5+ years of tax season experience required.
• Wanted existing Preparers with a book of business to join growing Tax business in Central NJ. Multiple locations available.
• We are offering a very competitive salary and revenue share for your existing clients and those that you develop and retain over years.

• The right candidate will have at least 5 years experience and possess the following;
  • Tax returns preparation, Individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Very good knowledge of all bookkeeping functions
  • Very comfortable with computers-Strong communications skills; verbally and in writing.
  • Active PTIN credentials required. Some locations might need additional NYTRIN credentials.
  • You must be available from January to April for extended hours.
  • Post season opportunities available for those that bring in small business and/or book keeping clients.
  • Willing to Learn and master various tax preparation software
  • Looking to grow with a potential to become store supervisor and/or area manager.

Responsibilities

• Completes all related tax forms in accordance with policies, and in compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Furnishes taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion.
• Consults tax law reference materials to determine procedures for preparation of atypical returns.
• Answers questions and provide future tax planning to clients.
• Reviews financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
• Researches tax related questions and issues, and responds to clients appropriately and within a timely manner.
• Resolves client complaints, or refers situations to supervisor (as appropriate) for resolution
• Audits all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e., client signatures).

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent related business experience. Course of study in tax preparation and/or accounting.
• Must be able to obtain certification by the state with a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
• Must have a current book of business and is able to bring it to start a new office OR grow an existing office
