We are seeking Experienced Tax Associates with 1-2 years of general (mix of clients), high net worth individual, corporate, or Venture Capital-focused tax experience in public accounting.
This position can be based out of our San Francisco, Palo Alto or San Jose office, or remotely. For those able to access one of our offices, we support hybrid work schedules that blend in-office and working from home.
You will work closely with our managers and partners to provide innovative tax solutions for our distinguished client base. We service a wide range of clients influenced by Silicon Valley, with our largest practice groups serving ultra high net-worth individuals, pre-IPO and public companies, along with trade and investment partnerships across a variety of industries. Our environment enables you build a more diverse tax foundation and specialize over time. You will grow to interact directly with high caliber clients and gain insight into what is up and coming in Silicon Valley. Experienced Tax Associates develop the technical, professional, leadership and interpersonal skills to drive a successful career.
You'll make an impact by:
- Performing income tax planning and return preparation for complex clients
- Attending client meetings and engagement planning meetings
- Preparing quarterly estimates using appropriate techniques
- Implementing federal, state and foreign tax minimization strategies
- Growing your understanding of the tax law and line item components of a tax return
- Sharpening your accounting skills by creating financial statements from bank statements, booking journal entries, generating personal balance sheets/net worth statements, etc.
- Assisting businesses with provisions, international tax issues, multi-state issues, and mergers and acquisitions, among other specialized services
- Helping individuals build their legacies through estate and gift tax planning as well as charitable giving and philanthropy services
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Tax Associate with a public accounting firm
- Completion of all educational requirements for California CPA licensure (150 semester/225 quarter units)
- Progress on or completion of the CPA exams preferred; otherwise, a strong intention to complete them soon
- Minimum university GPA of 3.0, with a higher major GPA preferred

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. This does not include bonus payments awarded through our Performance Recognition Program.
