Qualifications:

• Candidates must meet all local and state requirements to be considered. These include:
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education (SPED)
  • Bachelors degree in Education or related field
  • Previous experience in a SPED role is preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal SPED regulations and procedures

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Collaborate with general Education Teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction and support to students based on their unique needs and abilities
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals
